BUG TUSSEL Landscaping, Nursery & Lawncare was founded in 1990 by Richard C. Burleson and offered professional mowing, maintenance, and residential landscaping. In June of 1992 Bug Tussel began commercial landscaping and has landscaped and provided services for thousands of businesses and organizations, including the Bristol Motor Speedway, International Storytelling Center, several State Parks including Roan Mountain State Park, Sycamore Shoals State Park, Warriors Path State Park along with many golf courses in the area. Since then, Bug Tussel has added additional services including large tree transplanting, hydroseeding, segmental retaining walls, and erosion control. Richard Burleson, owner of Bug Tussel Landscaping and Nursery, is now certified in Erosion Control in the states of Tennessee, Virginia, and North Carolina and has provided these services to companies such as Lowe's in Virginia, North Carolina and Tennessee. Bug Tussel Landscaping and Nursery is a member of the Tennessee Nursery and Landscape Association (TNLA), the Tennessee Farm Bureau, the National Federation of Independent Businesses (NFIB), the Better Business Bureau (BBB), and the East Tennessee Nursery Association (ETNA).
